Story Synopsis:

Journey back to historical times with Zuleykha, a new opera from Loose Tea Music Theatre by composer Afarin Mansouri. This opera upends the traditional narrative of Potiphar’s wife as a sinner and seducer of the Prophet Joseph, exploring instead a story of how she had to overcome a male dominant society to discover her true inner voice. Sung in the Farsi language and featuring traditional Eastern music within the European operatic tradition.
